Volume sales of construction materials in Azerbaijan in January-February 2024 amounted to AZN 173.9 million ($102.2 million at the current exchange rate), which is 35.1 % more than in January-February 2023.
According to statistics, cement production volume amounted to 546.7 thousand tons (29.8% growth), precast concrete structures - 6.3 thousand cubic meters (50% growth), asphalt - 9.1 thousand tons (37.7% decline).
Moreover, volume of construction brick production amounted to 84.4 thousand cubic meters (3.7% growth), construction glass - 1 million 760.4 thousand square meters (30.3% growth).
Cement clinker production was 551 thousand tons (down 17 %), construction gypsum - 11.2 thousand tons (up 23.1 %), ready-mix concrete - 731.6 million tons (up 59.7 %), construction lime - 3.9 thousand tons (down 56.7 %).
As previously reported, in 2023 in Azerbaijan produced a total of AZN 1 billion 180.3 million ($694.3 million at the current exchange rate) worth of construction materials, which is 31.8 % more than in 2022.
