Belarusian Cement Company’s Domestic Sales Grow 12.1 % YoY

Belarusian Cement Company (BCC), reported an increase of 12.1 % YoY in cement sales in the domestic market in 5M 2020. The total cement production in Belarus in 5M 2020 went up by 4.7 % YoY (up to 1,835 million tons), as per the latest data of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus.

Belarusian Cement Plant in the city of Kostyukovichi, Mogilev region increased cement production in 5M 2020 by 5.5 %, up to 661,700 tons. 656,600 thousand tons of cement were shipped to consumers, including 407,800 tons (13.8 % YoY more) reaching the domestic market.

Krasnoselskstroymaterialy in the Grodno region increased cement production in 5M 2020 by 16.1 % YoY, to 568,300 tons. The enterprise’s sales grew by 0.2 % YoY, to 586,300 tons. The enterprise expects the production of cellular concrete blocks in 6M 2020 to show grow of 19 % YoY.

Krichevcementnoshifer in the Krichevsky district of the Mogilev region increased cement production by 5.5 % YoY, up to 465,000 tons. Sales increased by 9.6 %, to 465,000 tons.

The holding is developing new sales channels: a network of Belorusneft gas stations and Belposhta branches. In 5M 2020, 7,300 tons of bagged cement (15 and 25 kg) were sold at gas stations and BCC plans on selling 10.7 tons more this year. 446.7 tons of cement were sold through post offices in 5M 2020, aiming at a mark of total sales in 2020 of 4,000 tons. In addition to cement, postal units also offer precast blocks, tiles and other construction-related goods.

The Belarusian Cement Company predicted an increase in cement sales by 5 % YoY, partly due to an increase in retail sales in the domestic market. In 2019, the BCC’s plants sold a total of 4.73 million tons of cement.
