In 2020, the enterprises of Armenia produced 714,900 tons of cement, which is 19.2 % more than in 2019. The volume of production of ready-mixed concrete in the country for the same period increased by 8.6 %, up to 666,000 tons.
The volume of production of building mixtures in 2020 increased by 10.7 % compared to 2019, up to 41,400 tons. The volume of lime production decreased by 5.1 % and amounted to 50,100 tons. The volume of gypsum production increased by 24.5 % and amounted to 28,500 tons.
In mid-April 2020, the republic resumed production of cement and concrete products as well as some construction works, which had been stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
