Lasselsberger's Plant in Bashkortostan, Russia Expected to Launch in H1 2021

Commissioning works at Lasselsberger’s Cemix plant in Bashkortostan are scheduled for March 2021, as the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government - Chief of Staff of the Government Republic of Bashkortostan Ilshat Tazhitdinov said during a briefing to the Cement and Its Application journal. Power supply works at the enterprise should be complete in February. The start of production should take place before July 2021.

According to the investor, the construction of a production control building and a laboratory with a total area of ​​1350 m2, and a checkpoint with an area of ​​110 m2 has been completed. The construction of the facility is approximately 85 % complete. The supply of production equipment is underway under the contract with Sinoma (China).

After the completion of the construction of non-public railway transport infrastructure, objects of power supply systems and other engineering communications, the investor will be subsidized part of the costs in accordance with the concluded investment agreement with the regional authorities.

The new Cemix plant is one of the largest investment projects in the region. It is as significant of a project for Bashkortostan as for the country. The enterprise will provide about 200 new jobs.

Cemix is a part of Lasselsberger Group, which unites dozens of factories in many countries of Europe and Asia. The enterprises of the holding specialize in the production of ceramic tiles, dry building mixtures, kaolin and other mineral materials. The products are known under the brands "Rako", "LB Minerals" and "Cemix". One of the largest ceramic tile production plants of the holding is located in the Ufa region of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
