In 7M 2020, enterprises of Kazakhstan produced 5.94 million tons of cement (up by 2.6 % YoY). Cement production in July 2020 decreased by 0.4 % YoY and increased by 0.8 % MoM, amounting to 1.14 million tons. The production of concrete precasts in 7M 2020 increased by 1.3 % YoY, up to 541,600 tons.
At the end of May, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced its intention to commission 28 enterprises for the production of building materials.
The cement industry of the republic is represented by 17 integrated plants. At the end of last year, a plant with a capacity of 1 million tons per year was commissioned in the Shieli district of the Kyzylorda region in the south-west of the country.
