South Ural Mining and Processing Company [rus. YUGPK], part of AKKERMANN, purchased a new bulldozer and a wheel loader produced by European companies for its quarry operations. A 330 hp bulldozer weighing over 40 tons will replace the worn-out unit manufactured in 2008.
The new bulldozer has a high performance and efficient fuel consumption. The new wheel loader replaced a unit of the same manufacturer, which operated for 3.5 years around the clock. The heavy equipment fleet is updated as a part of YUGPK’s development strategy.
In June, YUGPK had begun to study the prospects for expanding the production and processing of fluxing limestone. Airborne geophysical research is underway, including high-resolution aeromagnetic survey equipment and airborne electrical reconnaissance.
