In 12 months of 2020, enterprises of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan produced 1.88 million tons of cement, which is 3.7 % less than in January-December 2019. The volume of cement production in December this year increased by 69.7 % compared to December last year and amounted to 92,800 tons.
The production volume of ready-mixed concrete in Kyrgyzstan in 2020 decreased by 14.1 % compared to 2019, down to 639,600 tons. In December, the production of ready-mixed concrete decreased by 9.6 %, down to 65,000 tons.
The volume of cement production in the first quarter of 2020 was lower than last year, by 34.2 %, by H1 2020 — 24.3 % lower, and by August the deficit went down to 17 % YoY.
The total design capacity of the republic's enterprises reaches 3 million tons of cement per year. In 2019, factories in Kyrgyzstan produced 2 million tons of cement, 4 % more than in 2018.
