Turkish Cement Manufacturers’ Association (TÇMB) reported on the results of production for January-September 2020. The volume of cement production in the country for the specified period increased by 23.9 % compared to January-September 2019 and amounted to 51.3 million tons. The volume of cement production in September 2020 amounted to 7.6 million tons, which is 39 % more than in September 2019.
The volume of clinker production in the first nine months of this year amounted to 51.6 million tons, which is 21.5 % more than in the same period in 2019. The volume of clinker production in September increased by 45.4 % compared to last September and amounted to 6.6 million tons.
The volume of cement consumption in the Turkish domestic market for the first nine months of 2020 increased by 18.2 % compared to the same period last year and amounted to 39.2 million tons.
The volume of cement exports in the nine months amounted to 11.9 million tons, which is 44.4 % more than in the nine months of last year. The volume of clinker exports increased by 19.5 % and amounted to 10.7 million tons.
