Construction and architecture universities in Russia unite in an industry consortium

Under the leadership of the Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services Irek Fayzullin, a meeting was held with the heads of industry architecture and construction universities, in which the rector of NRU MGSU Pavel Akimov, President of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences (RAASN) Dmitry Shvidkovsky, representatives of national research universities, scientific and professional organizations of the construction industry.

The agenda of the meeting included the development of the construction industry and the tasks it faces, the activities of universities in staff training and the development of interaction with enterprises in the construction industry.

After the meeting, an agreement was signed in the large conference hall of the university on the establishment of the Industry Consortium "Construction and Architecture", as well as an agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Construction of Russia and the consortium.

The documents were signed by the Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation Irek Fayzullin, Rector of NRU MGSU Pavel Akimov, President of RAASN Dmitry Shvidkovsky, heads of architecture and construction universities in Moscow, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Penza, St. Petersburg, Tomsk, scientific organizations and industry associations employers.

The participants of the meeting and witnesses of the solemn signing of the creation of the consortium were also Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Alexander Narukavnikov, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities Dmitriy Volkov, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Construction of Russia Sergey Stepashin, President of NOSTROY Anton Glushkov, representatives of academic science Mikhail Posokhin and Vladimir Travush, Efim Basin and others.

On the eve of the signing of the documents on the creation of the consortium, the industry minister noted in his speech that this new public organization fits into the federal program of support for the development of universities "Priority 2030".

It should be noted that not only industry-specific universities were thinking about how to combine the latest achievements of the construction industry with universities. Large and world-renowned manufacturers of building materials and technologies (Knauf, Rehau, Schneider Electric, Technonikol, etc.) have been offering their developments to students and teachers of industry universities for many years, which helps young specialists to better adapt to the construction site in the future.
