Net profit of Dangote Cement in 2020 increased by 37.7 % compared to 2019 and amounted to 276.1 billion Naira (about US$ 670 million). Product sales for the same period increased by 8.6 % to 25.72 million tonnes.
The total revenue of the enterprises of the holding amounted to 1,034.2 billion naira (about US$ 2.52 billion), which is 16 % more than in the 12 months of 2019. EBITDA rose 20.9 % YoY, up to 478.12 billion naira (about US$ 1.16 billion).
In March 2020, the company announced plans to build a new 1 million tpa cement plant in Gabon. The commissioning is scheduled for 2021.
Dangote Cement is a Nigerian company and a member of the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA). The enterprises of the holding operate in ten African countries; the aggregate production capacity of the enterprises reaches 45.6 million tons of cement per year and is set to grow further.
