EUROCEMENT Announces Major Appointment in Executive Office

The EUROCEMENT group holding, a leading cement producer in Russia, announces executive staff changes, aiming to benefit the implementation of upcoming national projects — from residential construction and transport infrastructure to environmental solutions. Ashot Khachaturyants — ex. top-manager of a state-owned Russian banking and financial services company Sberbank — takes position as an Acting President of the EUROCEMENT. 

The primary tasks of Ashot Khachaturyants will be preparing EUROCEMENT’s development strategy, identifying and taking full advantage of new growth opportunities, optimizing resources and elevating the company’s competitive capacity. Mikhail Skorokhod will continue to work in the Holding as Chief Executive Vice President.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Filaret Galchev commented on the new appointment: 

«I am sure that Ashot Rafailovich will help our company to take full advantage of the opportunities that are now appearing in the Russian construction market. Ashot Rafailovich has established himself as an effective manager, capable of implementing large-scale projects.»

Earlier this year, the company reported a 14.5% YoY growth in production.

‘EUROCEMENT Group’ holding company was founded in 2002 and consists of 19 cement enterprises in Russia and abroad, as well as concrete production plants, and quarries. The holding has a full production cycle — from the extraction of raw materials in company-owned quarries to the delivery of finished products to the consumer. EUROCEMENT is one of the five largest private cement producers in the world. The production capacity of the Holding's enterprises is 60 million tons of cement and 11 million m3 of concrete.
