EUROCEMENT Group has signed a cooperation agreement with Sengileevskie Mountains National Park, located in the Ulyanovsk region. This agreement was the first step in the implementation of the new program for the development of territories in the regions of EUROCEMENT Group.
Sengileevskie Mountains is the largest national park in the Ulyanovsk region, which is located in the east of the Volga Upland. Its total area is 43,600 hectares, and the basis is the Sengiley Mountains, stretching for 22 km along the Volga.
The cooperation of the National Park with EUROCEMENT Group will consist in joint research, as well as eco-educational work. The parties have already approved an environmental protection action plan for 2022.
"For us, the agreement with the Sengileevskie Mountains National Park is an important event, as we pay special attention to environmental issues and environmental protection. Eco-monitoring has been organized at all plants of our holding, monitoring the state of natural objects within industrial sites. Joint projects with national parks will allow us to take even more care of the environment," said Vyacheslav Shmatov, General Director of EUROCEMENT Group.
