FAS of Russia will check the markets of building materials

The department has connected all territorial bodies to carry out additional checks on the markets of metal products, wood, non-metallic and paints as well as varnishes, cement, brick, aerated concrete, mineral wool, sheet glass, roofing materials, bitumen and primary polymers.

Due to the large number of incoming applications for the increase in the cost of materials in the construction market and related markets, FAS of Russia decided to expand the list of inspected manufacturers and suppliers of building materials operating in the Russian Federation.

Results of the monitoring carried out by the department showed that at present conditions are developing in the domestic market that allow manufacturers to reduce prices in certain marketplaces. The persistence of high prices for products leads to a destabilization of the situation both in adjacent markets and in the consumer sector.
