Fauji and KAPCO acquired Attock Cement in Pakistan

Fauji Cement, together with the energy company Kot Addu Power Company (KAPCO), has acquired a controlling stake in Attock Cement.

According to a disclosure to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the buyers acquired a combined 92.03 % stake in the company from Pharaon Investment Group. The transaction received prior approvals from regulators, including Pakistan’s Competition Commission.

Attock Cement is the ninth-largest cement producer in Pakistan, with a production capacity of 4.3Mta from a single plant.

Fauji Cement, part of the Fauji Foundation, retains its position as one of the key players in the market, ranking third in the country’s cement industry.
