Gazakh Cement Supplies Concrete for Modular Hospitals Construction

A subsidiary of Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation, Gazakh Cement plant has agreed to supply concrete for the construction of six modular hospitals. All hospitals should be complete by mid-May, as per government order. The whole project cost around 8.7 million US dollars.

The general contractor is a Turkish development company, while Gazakh Cement is a subcontractor. The first hospital is now underway in Sumgait. Gazakh Cement provides an uninterrupted supply and continuous pouring of ready-mix concrete, and the construction should be finished this month. The construction of the second hospital should commence in the Absheron district soon.

By its capacity, Gazakh Cement ranks third among cement enterprises of Azerbaijan with 1 million tons of cement per year. In the fall of 2019, the Gazakh Cement Plant was the first in Azerbaijan to provide continuous pouring of 8,000 m3 of concrete for the road tunnel in three days.
