Gornozavodskcement Switches Mills to Closed-Circuit Grinding

Gornozavodskcement plant in Perm Territory modernized cement mills No. 8 and No. 9, switching both units to closed-circuit grinding as per company’s production manager Anton Bakhmatov. Cement mill No. 8 was put into operation early April, and mill No. 9 was launched mid-month.

Both mills had the internal parts fully upgraded. Among the newly installed parts are new dosing and control systems, and Christian Pfeiffer’s dynamic separators. Works were carried out by contractors and Gornozavodskcement’s technical staff. An agreement with Christian Pfeiffer on the supply of grinding equipment was signed in October of 2019.

The rotary kiln № 7 undergoes  a major overhaul, which will increase its utilization rate, improve the quality of clinker.

Gornozavodsk expects an increase in cement demand, and had its auto-technical center converted into a warehouse for finished goods currently holding over 4,000 pallets with cement.

The high demand should be ensured by the ongoing construction of clinics, kindergartens and road infrastructure. Demand should also be supplemented by implementation of online trade solutions making a producer-client interaction more accessible.

The production capacity of Gornozavodskcement is 2 million tons of cement per year, and its products are marketed under the brand of AKKERMANN Cement.
