Iran resumes production of oil-well cement and expands export opportunities for cement products

Iran has resumed production of oil-well drilling cement, which had been suspended some time ago. Oil well cement is currently produced by a subsidiary of the Iranian Mostazafan Foundation. The quantity and quality of the material produced allows us to meet the country's needs. Iran is the only country in the Middle East that produces Class E cement used in deep oil wells and high pressure wells. It is expected that the production of such cement will provide an opportunity to stop importing it, and Iran will be able to export its surplus products. The country also produces cement of grades A, B, D and G.

Iran also began exporting cement to Central Asian countries, primarily to Turkmenistan, using rail transport to deliver goods to the port on the Caspian Sea - Bender Torkaman. The first consignment was sent in 68-ton freight wagons from the Golestan province. Previously, businessmen from Golestan had to transport this product in trucks to the Inche-Borun railway station near the city of Gonbad-e-Kavus, from where it was delivered to consumers in the countries of Central Asia.
