Lasselsberger’s Subsidiary Cemix Reports Its New Plant Entering Final Construction Stage

During a visiting meeting at the production site of a new Cemix plant for the production of white cement and dry building mixtures, members of the government of the republic, representatives of Cemix and grid operating companies discussed issues of design and construction of power supply facilities at the site.

Currently, the construction of power transmission lines, transformer and distribution substations of 110 kV is underway, up for completion before commissioning operations at the plants.

At the moment, a gas inlet pipe and a gas distribution network have been installed at the plant. Railway tracks are being built for the enterprise to use, concrete works have been practically completed. The installation of equipment is also nearing completion. Road works are being actively carried out, as well as the construction of network infrastructure.

The meeting took place during a working visit of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Chief of Staff of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Ilshat Tazhitdinov, who held a ceremonial opening of the automobile access road connecting the production site of Cemix with regional highways. The new access road will facilitate the delivery of equipment and materials to the construction site and the shipment of finished products in the future.

“This plant is one of the largest investment projects of the Medium-term comprehensive program for the economic development of the Trans-Ural region. It is a significant project for Bashkortostan as well as for the country. The enterprise will provide about 200 new jobs. The import substitution implications of the new project are significant. In Russia, domestic producers cover less than half of the white cement market demand. The launch of this plant will eliminate this imbalance. For the first time in history of Abzelilovsky district (primarily agricultural) such a large-scale point of industrial growth emerges."

The company has installed modern and environmentally friendly high-performance equipment for the production of white cement. In addition to the main products, a wide range of dry building mixtures will be produced. It is planned to produce up to 200,000 tons of white cement and up to 300,000 tons of building mixtures annually.
