Pakistan’s Lucky Cement, the country’s largest cement producer, has increased its total cement capacity to 15.6 Mta.
The capacity increase was achieved as part of a capacity enhancement project at the company’s Karachi plant. Through process optimisation and modernisation of the existing production lines, the plant’s capacity was increased from 5.05 Mta to 5.35 Mta.
The project also improved production efficiency: the company reduced fossil fuel consumption and lowered coal usage per ton of produced cement.
