Lucky Cement announced the groundbreaking of a second production line at the CIMKO plant in the Democratic Republic of Congo, developed in partnership with Rawji Group.
The project includes a new production line with a capacity of 1.6 million tons of cement per year. The installation will be carried out by Chinese industrial contractor at the existing CIMKO facility.
Once completed, the total capacity of the plant will increase to 3.0 million tons per year. The expansion aims to meet rising domestic demand for cement, reduce reliance on imports, and help stabilize prices in the local construction materials market.
