Production of fine grades of chalk commenced at the new plant in Bryansk region

The chalk drying and grinding section was built in 2019–2020 as part of the project for the development of the Mirskoe chalk deposit in the Pogarsky district in the south-west of the region. The plant can produce up to 75,000 tons of commercial dry ground chalk per year. The production line is based on a grinding and classifying complex. In the course of classification, dried and ground chalk undergoes a three-stage screening process - in a dynamic classifier, a cyclone unit and a bag filter. Finished products are packed in paper bags and big bags.

Development of Mirskoye chalk deposit began in 2018. To date, stripping work at the open pit has been completed. Extraction of raw materials is in progress. Total approved reserves of chalk at the deposit amount to 49.19 million tons.

New facility - is only the first stage in the development of chalk deposit. Next step is the construction of a plant for the production of lime from chalk with two kilns with a capacity of 300 tons a day each. The implementation of the project should be accelerated by the work already completed during the construction of the drying and grinding section - laying the main gas pipeline, connecting to a 35 kV power line, and arranging an access road.
