The Sengileevsky branch of CEMROS is implementing an environmental project to introduce a closed-loop water circulation system. The initiative is aimed at improving water resource efficiency and minimizing the environmental impact of production operations.
Currently, the plant uses industrial water from the Kuibyshev Reservoir for its production and technological processes. The new project involves collecting rainwater, meltwater, and groundwater, storing and treating it, and subsequently reusing it in the production cycle.
"Today, the Sengileevsky branch uses industrial water from the Kuibyshev Reservoir for its production and technological processes. At the same time, the enterprise is implementing an environmental project to introduce a closed-loop water circulation system. Its goal is to make the most efficient use of water resources and virtually eliminate environmental impact,” the branch director noted.
Once the project is completed, water will be reused multiple times within the plant, making it possible to completely eliminate water intake from the reservoir. According to the plant’s management, this will reduce pressure on the region’s water resources and improve the environmental sustainability of production.
The development of the project documentation is currently nearing completion. Full implementation of the project is planned by 2030.
