During the industrial exhibition INNOPROM-2021 held at the Yekaterinburg-EXPO international exhibition center, Andrey Immoreev, General Director of SLK Cement, spoke about the company's program of replacing filters for cleaning gases emitted into the atmosphere, and said that this would improve the degree of purification exhaust gases up to 99.9%.
Over the past two years, two obsolete filters have been replaced only at the Sukhoi Log plant. A few months ago, a third was replaced and installed, the cost of modernization was 250 million rubles. By the end of the year, the company expects to replace one more filter, new equipment for which has already been purchased.
“The cement plant is a very energy-intensive production, energy consumption is associated with the CO2 problem. The issue is acute, and we are also working with this. In order to executive it, we are developing new types of cements, which contain less fired material, but more material for which you do not need to waste heat energy,” explained Andrei Immoreev.
General Director also noted that the company expects, thanks to new technologies, to change the image of the cement production in general and to prove that the cement plant can be “green” and safe for the environment.
