Startup logistics platform Codept simplifies the exchange of data between e-commerce representatives and service providers. Since its inception, the young company has received the support of the Berlin-based Beam, a subsidiary of the BEUMER Group. The systems provider recently invested further in Codept and gained control of the company.
Codept is a cloud-based logistics platform for e-commerce businesses offering flexible warehouse management and order fulfillment throughout Europe. Trading companies have easy access to a large number of different logistics service providers with just one IT interface. The startup was founded with the support of the Berlin-based Beam, a subsidiary of the BEUMER Group. After some time, the systems provider increased its investment and gained a controlling stake in the startup. “In this way we are strengthening our strategic partnership,” said Robert Bach, commercial director of Beam. "Codept can be confident in our active support in the promotion of the logistics platform, its rapid scaling and expansion of functionality."
Today, many European companies from a wide variety of industries rely on Codept competencies. In particular, this applies to work with bulky and difficult-to-handle goods, for example, oversized and dangerous goods. The integration platform helps users to significantly reduce logistics costs. In the future, artificial intelligence will optimize processes and data processing. Felix Ostwald, Chief Commercial Officer at Codept, and his partner Jonas Grunwald plan to jointly develop their vision for a technology-driven, scalable logistics platform. Their immediate goals are to increase their workforce, continue to improve technology and accelerate business expansion in Europe.
