Cement of the Iskitim Plant Listed in Top-100 Best Goods in Russia

Portland cement of Iskitimcement received a “100 best goods in Russia” award. The plant in the city of Iskitim gained a right to place an award logo on its products.

The winners of the competition were types of portland cement without mineral additives: CEM I 42.5R, CEM I 42.5N and CEM I 52.5N. Portland cements with mineral additives — CEM II / AS 32.5R and CEM II / BS 32.5N — were awarded with diplomas. These types were also winners as emerging products of the year.

Cement of 52.5N type is characterized by higher strength. It can be used in the construction of railway and road bridges, viaducts and other important infrastructure objects.

Cement of 32.5 B-S type (with a slag content of up to 35%) reaches the required strength of 32.5 MP in 28 days. Increased slag addition allows to make the product more ductile, and resistant to aggressive environments, sulfate waters, solutions. Such cement is suitable for laying foundations and building roads.

The official award ceremony was held at the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk Region on November 29. The expert commission noted the products of the Iskitimcement plant are of high quality, and meet the consumer requirements.

The Iskitimcement plant supplies cement to the Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Omsk, Tomsk, Tyumen, Kurgan regions, Altai Territory, Khanty-Mansiysk regions and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrugs, while also exporting to Kazakhstan. The Iskitimсement products were used to build the central Ostankino TV tower in Moscow, the Holy Trinity Church in Antarctica, and a bridge over Chumysh River in the Altai Territory.

The deposit of limestone and shale in Chernorechenskoye is the raw material base of the Iskitim plant. The company has a total of four wet method production lines. The plant plans to close 2019 selling about 1 million tons of cement. Sibtsem Holding owns a 49.9% stake in Iskitimcement.
