The industrial cluster to be built in Voskresensk

Holcim plans to create an industrial cluster for the production of cement-containing materials in Voskresensk (Moscow region). The cement plant owned by the company will be reconstructed and launched, a plant for the production of dry mixes will be built as well. The project will be implemented using the latest green technologies. The total investment volume will be about 2 billion roubles.

Voskresensky Cement Plant was ceased in 2016 due to the market situation. According to the developed reconstruction plan, the plant will meet all modern requirements: the equipment to be updated, a covered clinker warehouse to be built to replace the dismantled outdated one. This will significantly reduce the impact on the environment.

In order to minimize the CO2 emissions, a complete audit was carried out at the plant and a major overhaul of the dedusting equipment was started. In addition, modern dedusting electrofilters will be set. Before the plant is put into operation, online monitoring posts will be installed in the adjacent districts of the city of Voskresensk to control the air quality. The project also provides for the implementation of a closed water circulation system, which will make it possible to reduce the use of water resources and completely eliminate the possibility of their discharge outside.
