A modern electrostatic precipitator has been commissioned on rotary kiln No. 2 at LLC “Topkinsky Cement” (a subsidiary of JSC “HC “Sibcem”). The implementation of this project completed a long-term program for replacing gas cleaning equipment in the “Obzhig” kiln department: all five rotary kilns at the enterprise are now equipped with modern electrostatic precipitators.
The new electrostatic precipitator is designed to reduce inorganic dust emissions into the atmosphere. The equipment includes three fields that generate an electric field with a voltage of up to 90,000 volts, ensuring efficient capture of dust particles. The captured dust is returned to the production process. The height of the electrostatic precipitator exceeds 24 meters, which allows for the purification of large gas volumes without reducing efficiency.
The total investment in the technical upgrade of the gas cleaning system of kiln No. 2 for the period 2019–2026 amounted to approximately 730 million RUB, including VAT.
As noted by the Managing Director of LLC “Topkinsky Cement”, Alexey Ospelnikov, with the commissioning of the electrostatic precipitator on the second kiln, the modernization program of the gas cleaning equipment in the “Obzhig” kiln department has been completed. Modern electrostatic precipitators were successively installed on technological line No. 5 in 2010, on kiln No. 4 in 2012, on kiln No. 3 in 2019, and on kiln No. 1 in 2021.
