As per the latest annual report, net profit of Qizilqumsement plant in the Navoi region of Uzbekistan increased by 30% YoY in 2019, up to 274.5 billion soums ($28.6 million). Qizilqumsement's revenue in 2019 showed a slight increase of 1.2%, up to 1.68 trillion soums (173.6 million US dollars). Sales increased by 28% up to 1.02 trillion soums ($105.46 million).
According to the report, high profit indicators were achieved mostly due to a decrease in "other operating expenses" by 2.3 times, to 290 billion soums ($29.9 billion). EBITDA also grew 51% YoY from 226 billiion soums ($23.37 billion) to 342 billion soums ($35.36 million).
Qizilqumsement produced 3.64 million tons of cement in 2019 — more than any other cement plant in Uzbekistan. The enterprise improved the result of 2018 by 1.8%. Clinker production in 2019 increased by less than one percent, up to 2.96 million tons. The design capacity of Qizilqumsement is 3.8 million tons of cement per year.
Cement enterprises of Uzbekistan produced 10.99 million tons of cement in 2019 (+ 9.4% compared to 2018). Total clinker production in 2019 reduced to 6.2 million tons (from 6.4 million tons in 2018).
