According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan PF-6186 "On additional measures to provide housing by providing mortgage loans on market conditions", adopted on March 11, 2021, customs duties for imported cement products (HS 2523) will be nullified until October 1, 2021.
As part of the decree, work will also be carried out to provide the citizens with housing through preferential mortgage loans, and create conditions for the massive attraction of private contractors to the housing construction sector.
During the week, the Cabinet of Ministers will optimize prices for housing and building materials, as well as create favorable conditions for construction companies by expanding the use of high-quality building materials of local production in the regions.
In 2020, cement enterprises of the Republic of Uzbekistan produced 14 % more cement (12,54 million tons) and 8.9 % (10,03 million tons) more clinker than in January-December 2019.
