The Turkish Cement Manufacturers Association (TÜRKÇİMENTO) reported the results of cement production in 2020. The volume of cement production in the country in 2020 increased by 26.9 % compared to 2019 and amounted to 72.30 million tons.
The volume of cement production in December 2020 amounted to 6.11 million tons, which is 52.2 % more than in December 2019.
The volume of clinker production in 12 months of 2020 amounted to 71.77 million tons, which is 24.2 % more than in 2019. The volume of clinker production in December 2020 increased by 44 % YoY and amounted to 6.41 million tons.
The volume of cement consumption in the Turkish domestic market in 2020 increased by 22.6 % compared to 2019 and amounted to 55.65 million tons.
The volume of cement exports in 2020 amounted to 16.25 million tons, which is up by 46.1 % YoY. The volume of clinker exports for the same period increased by 16.8 % and amounted to 13.55 million tons.
