Voronezh Branch of EUROCEMENT group Carries Out Reclamation of Olkhovy Log Quarry

As part of a continuous strategy of sustainable development and environmental safety, the Voronezh branch of EUROCEMENT group is carrying out reclamation of the Olkhovy Log Quarry. The complex of works aimed at restoring the natural productivity and economic value of land. The works currently take place at a three-hectare plot of land.

“Land reclamation is an important part of measures we take to protect the environment and restore the landscape,” emphasized Sergey Lobov, manager of the Voronezh branch of EUROCEMENT group.

The Olkhovy Log quarry of the Podgorenskoye deposit has proven reserves of 310 million tons and ensures uninterrupted operation of the Voronezh cement plant of EUROCEMENT group. The quarry produces marl, sand and chalk.

The Voronezh branch of EUROCEMENT group was launched at the end of 2013, and its design capacity is 3.075 million tons of cement per year. The plant uses equipment of European cement producers. Due to many eco-efficient solutions, the plant's production emissions are 2.5 times lower than the norm. The Voronezh branch of EUROCEMENT group has recently become a primary supplier of building materials for the construction of social facilities in the Voronezh region.
