Akkermann Cement Opens Representative Office in Orenburg

AKKERMANN Cement company (“YuUGPK") has opened a new office in Orenburg. This is the fourth representative office on the territory of Russia and post-Soviet countries. There is one office in Perm, one in Yekaterinburg and one more in the city of Aktobe in northwestern Kazakhstan. Office specialists advise customers and help with shipping. AKKERMANN launched a network of representative offices to accelerate the supply of products to Russian and foreign markets. The holding operates a network of nine cement terminals.

The capacity of the company's cement plant in Novotroitsk is about 2.5 million tons per year. At the same time, the cement consumption of the Orenburg region and Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region put together is only 1 million tons.

“We believe that cement is a local market”, said CEO of AKKERMANN cement Konstantin Morozov in his interview with the journal “Cement and its Applications”.

Mr Morozov considers logistics optimization and distance reduction to be a top priority in cement distribution. AKKERMANN’s CEO said the optimal distance for cement transportation is up to 1000 km.
