In January-August 2020, the enterprises of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) produced 1,286.4 thousand tons of cement, which is 0.9 % more than in January-August 2019. Its Jizzakh Cement Plant produced 558,9 thousand tons of cement, and its Sherabad Cement Plant — 727.5 thousand tons. The volume of clinker production amounted to 998.9 thousand tons, of which 566.3 thousand were produced at Sherabad Cement.
1092,6 thousand tons of cement were shipped in bulk, of which 573.1 thousand were shipped by Sherabad Cement. 194.9 thousand tons of bagged cement were shipped to customers, of which Sherabad Cement shipped 162.9 thousand tons. Part of the products of the Sherabad Cement Plant (85.7 thousand tons of cement) was exported to Afghanistan.
In August, AMMC began to renew its fleet of heavy equipment, having a contract for the purchase of 16 new modernized excavators of the EKG-20K class.
JSC Almalyk MMC is an industrial complex that comprises six mines, five processing complexes, two metallurgical plants, the Jizzakh and Sherabad cement plants and a lime production plant.
