Bekabadcement plant in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan modernizes the cement packaging line adjacent to cement silos. The enterprise replaced a packaging line, including its feeding, bagging and loading systems. The capacity of the new packaging line is 100 tons per hour. The implementation of the project will strengthen the manufacturer's position on the market of bagged cement (25 and 50 kg bags). This 8-spouts Rotary-Packer was supplied by the Möllers Group — a specialist in the fields of bagging, palletizing, wrapping and loading machines — as part of the modernization at the Bekabadcement plant.
The new automated energy-saving packaging line is expected to save Bekabadcement’s money on energy costs.
The specialists of the enterprise studied the market of manufacturers of such equipment, and determined key priorities. As a result of the official visit of the contractor's technical specialists, the existing infrastructure of the enterprise was studied and the terms of reference were developed, which was further coordinated with the local Uzbekistani authorities.
In parallel with the development of design estimates, construction works were carried out at the Bekabadcement’s site to strengthen the existing building of the packaging facility, including an increase in the roof span.
Significant support in the implementation of the project was provided by the Directorate for Improving Energy Efficiency of Industrial Enterprises under the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The project was financed, among other things, from funds allocated by the International Development Association (IDA) within the framework of the program “Improving the energy efficiency of industrial enterprises”.
