Belarusian Cement Company’s Sales Revenue in H1 2020 up by 10.3 %

The enterprises of the industrial holding Belarusian Cement Company (BCC) in January-June 2020 increased their sales revenue by 10.3 % YoY, to 453.3 million Belarusian rubles (170.6 million US dollars). The holding's cement enterprises increased their sales revenue by 12.4 % YoY, to 400 million Belarusian rubles (150.5 million dollars).

The production indicators of BCC’s cement enterprises also increased. Belarusian Cement Plant produced 851,900 tons of cement (up by 4.1 % YoY), Krichevcementnoshifer — 720,000 tons (up by 0.3 % YoY) and Krasnoselskstroymaterialy — 715,900 tons of cement (up by 2.4 %YoY).

“It is necessary not only to produce cement, but also to sell it with maximum profit. To this end, the holding's management company diversifies its sales markets, increasing its presence in the European Union countries, for example, in Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. In Q1 2020, the export growth rate to Poland was 165.1%, Latvia — 215%, Lithuania — 108.5%. During this period, export shipments of cement to St. Petersburg almost tripled,” said BCC General Director Alexander Dovgalo.

Earlier, the Belarusian Cement Company reported a 12.1 % growth in domestic sales in 5M 2020. It also predicted a 5 % YoY increase in cement sales by the end of 2020. In 2019, the holding's factories sold 4.73 million tonnes of cement in total.
