Belorusian Building Materials Producer Will Launch an RDF Based Clinker Production Line

Belarusian company Krasnoselskstroimaterialy begins the construction of the clinker production line that will use RDF (refuse-derived fuel) in the calcination process. In addition, the company begins the modernization and repairs of the kiln and other equipment. The decision of the Supervisory Board of Krasnoselskstroymaterialy was finalized on February 14 and presented to the public on Thursday, February 20.

The most expensive modernization project — with an estimated cost of 6.18 million Belarusian rubles — should be the creation of a line for the supply and use of ground RDF for clinker production. As of today the enterprise uses coal and peat. Other modernization works involve repairing facility structures, technological and automobile roads connecting facilities (plants and quarries).

At the end of last year, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Belarus decided to allocate 8.5 million Belarusian rubles to Krasnoselskstroymaterialy so that the enterprise could purchase technological equipment, and order repair and modernization works to a third-party contractor.

Krasnoselskstroymaterialy is the largest producer of building materials in Belarus, and part of the Belarusian Cement Company — a state-owned holding company.
