Alekseevsky Building Materials Plant, the enterprise for the extraction and primary processing of limestone and gypsum rock was declared bankrupt and put up for sale. Bidding will begin on July 6, and the initial price of the lot is RUB 288.96 million.

The lot includes a dry-ground chalk facility, a grinding facility, warehouses and other buildings, equipment, infrastructure, a 3-hectare land plot under for the production site, and a lease right for two more plots (for the development of the chalk quarry and the extraction of other minerals).

Bidding will be held through a public offer. The initial price is set for the period of July 6 - July 9. Then the price will decrease by 5 % every four business days, until it reaches 15 % of the initial price of RUB 43.3 million. The deadline for accepting offers is scheduled for October 7, 2020.

The plant belonged to two Belgorod businessmen and was declared bankrupt by the tax service in December 2018. The claims amounted to RUB 136 million. The property of the enterprise was put up for sale in 2019 at a price of RUB 321.07 million. No one was willing to purchase property at the time.

The building materials plant in the Alekseevsky district of the Belgorod region was built in 1973. Since 2005, the enterprise has experienced financial difficulties due to outdated equipment and technologies. In 2007, the regional authorities negotiated with private investors on the creation of an integrated cement plant on the basis of the existing enterprise. Since 2014, the plant has been operating at a loss, while still remaining a major local producer of limestone and gypsum.
