Kyrgyz enterprises increased the production of cement in June 2020 by 14.1 % YoY, to 233,500 tons. Cement production in H1 2020 amounted to 718,300 tons.
Though H1 2020 has cement industry output still lagging behind 2019 indicators, cement plants show positive dynamics. Cement production in Q1 2020 was 34.2 % behind Q1 2019. Two months later, the gap decreased to 30.8 %, and by H1 2020 Kyrgyz cement industry got it down to 24.3 %.
In 5M 2020, Kyrgyz enterprises exported 84,000 tons of cement (down by 70.7 % YoY). The value of cement exports amounted to $ 3.9 million (down by 72.3 % YoY). The volume of cement imports to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan increased by 16 % YoY, up to 148,600 tons. The value of imported cement amounted to $ 6.3 million. The Republic of Kazakhstan was the main import partner exporting $ 4.9 million worth of cement into Kyrgyzstan in 5M 2020.
The RMC production in Kyrgyzstan in June 2020 decreased by 21.1 % YoY, to 52,600 tons. 5M 2020 showed a fall of 40.3 % YoY, down to 204,000 tons.
The total design capacity of the republic's enterprises reaches 3 million tons of cement per year.
