According to the H1 2020 results, the volume of crushed stone Freight One dispatched via Oktyabrskaya Railway (OZD, a branch of Russian Railways) increased by 40 % YoY, to 925,500 tons. The company's cargo turnover at OZD in January-June of this year increased by 39 %, to 1.2 billion t·km.
This became possible in part due to a 20 % increase in orders from representatives of small and medium-sized businesses.
“These are irregular orders. Mostly urgent and [such orders] require high-quality operation and fast interaction with the cargo shipper and Russian Railways. The growing number of such orders suggests we can quickly respond to the needs of customers who came to appreciate our service and capabilities,” explained Pavel Sitalo, director of the St. Petersburg branch of Freight One.
Last week, Freight One started selling its services on the Russian Railways’ electronic trading platform ETP GP to expand the sales channels for cement hopper. The target clients are expected to be small and medium-sized businesses.
