Kyrgyz enterprises increased cement production in May 2020 by 42.5 % YoY, to 215,800 tons. However, the volumes of January-May dropped 30.8 % YoY, as per the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic. Production volumes in Q1 2020 were down by 34.2 % YoY.
In 5M 2020, cement plants in Kyrgyzstan produced 514,800 tons of products. Cement export in 4M 2020 fell about 3.3 times YoY, down to 229,900 tons (US$ 3.3 million).
Cement import in 4M 2020 increased by 12.7 % YoY, up to 90,200 tons ($ 3.7 million). The main importers were enterprises of Kazakhstan with 73 % of the total import volume.
RMC production in Kyrgyzstan in 5M 2020 decreased by 45.1 % YoY, to 150,900 tons.
