A subsidiary of Lasselsberger, LB Minerals plans to launch the development of Yangelskoye-2 limestone deposit in Bashkiria. Marmorized limestone from the deposit will be used at the future Lasselsberger’s 424,000 tpa dry mortar plant in Q3 2020.
Geological prospecting and exploration at the quarry was carried out by OAO UGSE. As it stands today, LB Minerals officially announced public discussions to assess the environmental impact of the field development method. The hearing will take place on July 28, 2020.
Apart from dry mortars, the plant will produce white cement (up to 200,000 tpa), microcalcite (up to 100,000 tpa), and its workshop for the preparation and packaging of dry construction mixtures will have a capacity of 300,000 tpa. The volume of investments is estimated at RUB 2.2 billion rubles.
