Tajik cement producers exported 500,300 tons of cement in 5M 2020, showing a 19.2 % YoY decrease. Export to Uzbekistan decreased to 238,300 tons (down by 31.1 % YoY), as per the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan.
Cement export to Afghanistan in 5M 2020 decreased by 7.7 % YoY, to 227,200 tons. Cement export to Kyrgyzstan increased by 39.8 %, to 34,100 tons. The total cement export value in 5M 2020 amounted to $20.5 million, down by 34.6 % YoY.
Meanwhile, cement production volume in 5M 2020 in Tajikistan remains steady at 1,5 million tons.
The value of all building materials produced in Tajikistan in 5M 2020 increased by 1.2 % YoY, to $93.8 million. Cement accounts for 98.6 % of export volume of all building materials.
