Russian enterprises produced 57.78 million tons of cement, which is YoY 7.4% increase. According to the Russain Federal State Statistics Service, Portland cement production without mineral additives increased the most — by 12% (to 34.95 million tons).
Russian plants produced 1.5% less of Portland cement with additives in 2019 (19.77 million tons). The production of slag Portland cement decreased by 2.9% (to 1.46 million tons). As for the other types of building materials, the growth in production of ready-mixed concrete was 12 % — from 30.6 to 34.4 million m3. Prefabricated building blocks and other products made of cement, concrete or artificial stone amounted to 22.1 million m3 in 2019.
The results of the year were close to the forecast given in January by the Russian Association of Manufacturers Soyuzcement. According to the latest survey of the cement market, growth was supposed to be 7.6%. Earlier this year Russian EUROCEMENT Group reported a 14.5% YoY increase in cement production in 2019.
