In January-July 2020, EUROCEMENT group’s enterprises exported 329,000 tons of cement ( up by 67 % YoY). This is an all-time record for the company. For comparison: 2018 saw export dispatches amount to 314,600 tons.
Export in February-May increased by 84 % YoY (up to 190 thousand tons). All while many foreign markets (against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic) were on partial or full lockdown the construction sector experienced a severe slowdown.
Cement export to Finland (by EUROCEMENT group’s Peterburgcement plant) increased by 52 % YoY, up to 35,600 tons. Export to Kazakhstan in July alone amounted to 3,000 tons, which is four times the volume in the entire 2019. Among various purposes, cement was supplied to Kazakhstan for the construction of the state road of “Kaztalovka - Zhanibek”.
More than 8,000 tons of cement were exported to the countries of the Baltic region, where it was used for both residential construction and the construction of the ‘Riga - Jelgava’ highway in Latvia.
