In H1 2020, the cost of construction work in Russia increased by 4.3 % YoY, to RUB 3,720 billion. The cost of construction work in June amounted to RUB 843 billion, up by 25.9 % MoM (and up by 4.3 % YoY compared to June 2019).
Worth noting that average prices for the purchase of cement and aggregates in Russia are down in H1 2020 by 1.1 % and 7.4 % YoY, respectively. Thanks to the state support measures, the construction industry managed to attract an additional 1.44 trillion rubles in H1 2020 (up by 14 % YoY).
In early July, the State Duma of the Russian Federation passed a law on amendments to existing regulations governing housing construction. The purpose of the amendments is to stimulate the housing construction market by granting benefits to housing developers.
