Akkermann Cement’s Gornozavodskcement plant finalized the modernization of its palletizing line. The semi-automatic line will be able to deliver up to 56 tons of bagged cement per hour (in 25 and 50 kg bags). The launch of the upgraded line is scheduled for next week.
The line’s operating cycle comprises four stages: cement is first bagged, then the equipment feeds bags to pallets, then the pallets are wrapped in stretch film and then stacked in the storage section.
In May, Gornozavodskcement received a certificate of conformity for the mass production of sulfate-resistant cement (CEM I 42.5N SR) and transferred two cement mills to closed-circuit grinding. In early June, the plant became the major cement supplier for the construction of the mega-mall project in the city of Perm.
The design capacity of the enterprise is 2.2 million tpa.
