In June 2020, YUGPK [rus. for SUMPC — South Ural Mining and Processing Company] produced 52,500 tons of calibrated cement. This is an all-time record monthly figure for the company. The production of palletized cement in H1 2020 increased to 198,000 tons, representing a growth of 20 % YoY.
In June, YUGPK launched airborne geophysical studies at its plant to study the prospects for expanding the production and processing of fluxing limestone.
YUGPK is part of the Akkermann Cement holding, which also includes Gornozavodskcement plant. Gornozavodskcement has recently started producing SR cements and became a major cement supplier for the mega-mall project in the city of Perm.
The design capacity of the YUGPK cement plant is 2.38 million tons of cement per year. The total design capacity of the Akkermann Cement holding plants is over 4 million tpa.
