A dry run of a rotary kiln took place at ASK Cement plant in Sverdlovsk Oblast. The equipment supplier, Volgocemmach was responsible for chief installation. The production line of the ASK Cement plant should produce the first products in the summer of 2020.
The production of elements of the clinker production line for ASK Cement began in H2 2018 and took eight months.
Delivery of the kiln was carried out in parts, since the kiln has a length of 170m and a diameter of 4.5m.
The transportation of sections took several weeks and the gates at the construction site had to be dismantled.
“In late August - early September 2019, the kiln bottom was ready. Kiln supports and bandages were mounted during the fall, when the assembly of sections, drives and girth gear began,” says Ruslan Kormilitsin, head of the Volgocemmach technical department.
The kiln will be able to operate in different modes and also produce clinker for white cement.
The installation of the kiln was completed in winter. The installation of the remaining parts of the production line was completed early this summer. A connection of ASK Cement plant to the electric network and the Bukhara-Ural natural gas pipeline is underway.
