Iskitimcement Starts Production of Cement for Concrete Roads Foundation

Iskitimcement starts mass production of Portland cement with slag intended for the manufacture of concrete foundation for concrete roads and soil stabilization. Pilot tests of CEM II/A-S 32.5R DO were successful, as the company reported on Thursday, May 21.

The new product has high strength, frost- abrasion- and impact-resistance. One of the main requirements for this type of cement is tensile strength of the end product: 32.5R cement should provide a tensile strength of at least 5.5 MPa.

“The share of cement-concrete roads in the country should increase to 50 %, according to the federal Strategy for the development of the building materials industry until 2030. Taking this into account, we are getting ready for an increase in demand for “road” cements,” says CEO of Iskitimcement, Vladimir Skakun.

The first batch of a new type of product has already been shipped for the construction of roads in the Altai Territory.

A certificate of conformity was issued to Iskitimcement by a certification body, “Scientific and Technical Center SibNIIcement” back in April this year. It makes Iskitimcement certified to produce seven types of cement.

Iskitimcement is one of the largest producers of building cement in Siberia. In 2019, the company produced about 1 million tons of products.
