Sberbank and the leading construction holding of Kazakhstan BI Group signed a memorandum of cooperation within the framework of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
President and Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank German Gref and Chairman of the Board of Directors of BI Group Holding Aydin Rakhimbayev agreed to develop effective partnership and implement joint projects in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation. As promising areas, the parties considered the possibility of financing education and healthcare facilities on the basis of PPP, and also discussed plans for BI Group to enter MoEx (Moscow Exchange) this fall. Thus, the developer will become the first commercial issuer in Kazakhstan to issue securities on the Moscow Exchange. Previously, the developer's subsidiary successfully placed bonds on AIX, which caused a significant excess of demand from investors over supply.
The parties agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and interaction with international development institutions in the framework of joint projects.
